Please review the following frequently asked questions:
Q: I can't keep my dog or cat. Can Metro Animal take him/her? A: While Metro Animal is not a rescue group, we do maintain a listing of area rescue groups in our rescue/adoption/resource directory. Please contact organizations listed in this directory for help. Often, a given rescue group is full and may not be able to take in your dog or cat, but you could ask them if they will list your dog or cat among their other animals available for adoption. You would continue to keep your dog or cat until an adoption occurs. Q: I can't afford a medical procedure on my dog or cat. Can you help? A: Metro Animal does not have funds available to assist, but may be some resources available to help. We are in process of creating a listing of these resources. Q: Can you help with trapping feral cats? A: Please see the feral cats page within our rescue/adoption/resource directory for more information. Q: Are you available for immediate assistance? A: Metro Animal is an all-volunteer organization and we are not an emergency responder. Please contact your local humane society or animal control for help.
